imperfect smooth wall texture

We always had smooth walls (unfortunately with popcorn ceilings in our 1960’s house) in our houses/apartments, except our first house which was a 1940’s bungalow and did have a more plastered/textured wall finish. I chose the one with the least amount of variation and they got to work. That’s why textured walls are so common in developer-built housing; it’s quicker and cheaper, with less skilled laborers.
